Living with body image issues, if left unchecked can cause great damage to self-esteem and by extension to other parts of our lives. When our self-esteem is low, we all tend to withdraw and isolate from others. One way to break through this unhealthy coping method is to connect with others who struggle with these same issues in a safe, supportive and affirming environment.

How this group was developed and information about the group:

The group runs for 6 weeks and participants must commit to attending all six sessions. The group will be co-led by 2 therapists from 2 S C - Thomas Fransen and Glenn Dillon.  Workbooks included. To learn more about this unique program designed to help you discover a new sense of freedom in your life, please contact 2SC directly by calling 773.528.1777. You can also email 2SC at: clientconcierge@aol.com

Either Tom or Glenn will speak with you in phone consultation during which you can discuss the structure of the group. You will be provided an outline, its basic elements and answers to any questions you may have. We would also be open to hearing about your personal goals for the workshop. Please be advised this is not a dating group or a place to mine for dates. This group series is limited to just 10 participants and two groups may be offered to accommodate demand.

In order to ensure a safe and cohesive group where members feel comfortable to participate freely, a face-to-face meeting would also be scheduled prior to the start date. We have received steady feedback from past participants of groups that this initial meeting creates a sense of safety, not just because members are able to form a connection with the counselor prior to the start of the group, but also because they know that we are able to look out for the welfare of the group as a whole.
