What is 2SC?
John D. Moore, Ph.D. , LCPC, CADC, ACS                       
Alliance Counselor
Dr. John Moore is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor. Dr. Moore uses a warm, affirming and interactivel approach to help clients explore barriers that keep them from reaching their full potential. Conversational & intuitive, Moore uses a strength based model to identify unproductive thinking patterns while assisting clients in the development of healthy coping skills. This interactive partnership is used to empower clients and formulate new goals for the future.  Moore earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from the School of Behavioral Science at Northcentral University. Additionally, he holds a MBA from the Indiana Institute of Technology & a Certificate in Strategic Leadership from Cornell. Prior to transitioning to field of mental health, Dr. Moore worked for over 15 years in the corporate sector.

Thomas E. Fransen, LCSW
Alliance Counselor
Fransen holds an undergraduate from Marquette University and a masters of social work from the University of Chicago. He has worked in a variety of environments, including outpatient psychotherapy settings and residential facilities. Additionally, he has offered his services as a medical social worker to various organizations, specializing in helping individuals, couples and families impacted by various health challenges, including HIV disease, cancer, substance abuse and other health related concerns.  He has an office at 2SC where he works with clients.

We are a privately owned counseling, consulting and behavioral sciences collaborative founded in 2006 with its primary offices in Chicago's Lakeview area.  Clients range across all cultural, racial and economic backgrounds, including individuals from different sexual orientations. LAWYER, MSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and a board- certified Cognitive Behavior Therapist.  A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Mr. Lawyer has more than 30 years of counseling experience and has consulted with agencies, schools and corporations. Jim's interactive approach is solution focused. He works with individuals and couples, including the Chicago GLBT community.
Costa holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from DePaul University a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.  As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, and Certified Professional Coach, Costa utilizes a variety of therapeutic and motivational approaches to help clients overcome barriers.  He has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings over his career, serving both as a clinician and clinical supervisor. Glenn is a licensed clinical social worker providing both short and long term therapy for individuals and couples. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Chicago. He has experience working with a diverse range of clients and presenting issues. He has worked in community mental health, outpatient, substance abuse and residential settings.
