"You can live a happier life"

I offer a warm, safe, and caring environment that is solution focused.
With all the stressors in our society today, a client needs an empathetic, caring clinician who can be a main source of support and offer effective therapeutic treatment. I believe the most important element in a therapeutic relationship is empathy.
If I can understand the client’s world and the experiences the client endured, then I can truly understand their emotions and story. I truly try to help my clients better understand themselves while reaching important life goals.

Nothing makes me happier than to see my clients improve and enhance the quality of their life. I am deeply committed to providing radically affirming, safe, and culturally sensitive care to every client. This commitment is especially vital when supporting individuals navigating queer identities, including non-binary, gender-nonconforming, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and asexual clients. I believe in helping every client, regardless of identity, to feel comfortable and empowered to reach their goals with effective, evidence-based approaches.
My therapeutic orientation consists of EMDR therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Client-Centered Therapy. I have specialized training in cultural psychology and acculturation, which allows me to understand and address the unique challenges of minority stress, identity formation, and navigating relationships with non-affirming family or systems. My specialties also include trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues, all approached through a lens that honors your authentic self. I am trained in EMDR and enjoy working with clients from all different age groups. I also have experience working with couples.
In addition to my clinical experience, I have also taught college courses in the field of psychology and human behavior for nearly 15 years.
