"You have more resilience than you realize."

Evelyn Hong - Chicago Psychotherapist

Therapy can offer a space to feel understood, supported, and ready to move forward.

Life can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, relationship stress, identity concerns, or the weight of past experiences, therapy can help you slow down, make sense of what you are carrying, and begin taking meaningful steps toward change.

I believe most people have more resilience inside them than they realize. Sometimes, we simply need the right space and support to reconnect with it.

My Approach

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and focused on helping you move forward. I want therapy to feel like a real conversation — one where you can be honest about what is going on, feel understood, and also leave with a clearer sense of what to do next.

I work with adolescents, college students, and adults navigating emotional, relational, and life challenges. You may be dealing with grief, stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, identity questions, self-doubt, or a major life transition. Or you may simply feel stuck and unsure how to get back to feeling like yourself again.

In our work together, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches can help you better understand the patterns that keep you feeling overwhelmed, develop healthier coping strategies, and take practical steps toward the kind of life you want to build.

I provide LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and strive to create a space where clients feel respected, understood, and able to show up as themselves. I also enjoy working with students and young adults who may be navigating school stress, identity development, relationships, family expectations, self-esteem concerns, or the transition into adulthood.

My goal is to make therapy feel supportive, honest, and useful. This is not about being judged or told what to do. It is about working together at your pace, identifying what is getting in the way, and helping you build the confidence and tools to move forward.
