Are you feeling stuck? Facing career challenges? Struggling with self-esteem? If you’re experiencing any of these issues, I would be honored to assist you. As a psychotherapist and coach in Chicago, I take an interactive approach that is designed to guide you to a place of meaningful change.

My toolbox includes a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, IFS, DBT, EMDR and hypnotherapy. When appropriate, I also call upon the powers of coaching, which can serve as a platform for facilitating change. To reinforce the learning process, I often assign homework at the end of sessions.

My areas of expertise include men’s issues, relationship problems, trauma, anxiety, and career challenges. With over 15 years of experience in managerial and marketing roles at Fortune 500 companies and large non-profits, I have a unique understanding of the pressures that come with working in high-stress environments. Many of my clients are business professionals, college students, individuals from the military, and LGBTQ individuals.

Creating positive change requires effort, and you deserve someone who will support you throughout this process. I can help you explore unhealthy thinking patterns, develop new coping strategies, heal past wounds, and achieve important life goals. Taking a holistic and interactive approach, I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help you learn valuable skills and effective coping strategies. Together, we can embark on a journey of growth and healing.

I’ve been featured in a variety of news outlets including NPR, the Chicago Tribune, ABC 7, Market Watch, The Wall Street Journal and Men’s Health. I’ve managed, lead, and consulted with employees at organizations such as IBM, Verizon, and AMITA Health. I also teach graduate level business psychology courses.

I hold a PhD in Psychology from Northcentral University, a MBA from Indiana Tech, and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of the Cumberlands. In additional to being a licensed psychotherapist, I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor, Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
